Game Changer Verse Challenge

Knowing what God says changes the way you play! When we hide God's words in our hearts, we will always have them with us when we need them. Our Challenge continues as we study HONOR!!!

Here's something fun we've created for all of the elementary kids this month. We're calling it the Game Changer Verse Challenge!

  1. Download the new memory verse sheet HERE
  2. Memorize a verse. The goal for Kindergartners and 1st graders is to memorize at least two verses from the sheet. The goal for 2nd - 4th graders is to memorize four verses.
  3. Once you have a verse memorized, recite it to your Small Group Leader. They will award you with a paper "game controller" where you'll write your name and the verse reference.
  4. Tape your controller to the display board in the KidzRock lobby.
  5. Sign your name on the record sheet on the table near the display board.

All kids who meet their goal and complete the challenge with have their own PIZZA PARTY on March 4th after FamJam!

Simple as that! Are you game?

What doth it profit, my brrtehen, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?a0James 2:14, 17, 18, 21a0In these verses we talked about how we can say we have faith, but our actions don't necessarily show it. For example, I can say I trust God with my life but when it comes to putting my life in His hands I keep it in mine. I learned how important it truly is to actually back up our faith with works. If God tells me to go live in Japan and be a missionary. Even though I'd be terrified of the dangers there, and getting caught, I'd go, because not only did God lay it upon my heart to do so, but because I honestly trust Him with my life. He knows what comes of the next coming days I don't. I was reminded how important this really is and I've really been applying it to my life, and let me tell you, I see a change!a0I've learned so much throughout this book of the bible and it's helped me keep my fire for God and to rekindle each day my love for Him. I'm so glad we did this, and excited to continue studying the bible everyday! a0
